Huehuetenango Bourbon - Axel Palacios
This coffee comes from Axel Palacios in Palmira, La Libertad, Huehuetenango. His family has farmed this land since his great-grandfather first planted coffee there, moving harvests through the steep highlands by mule long before paved roads reached the region.
This Bourbon is grown between 1,500 and 1,900 meters in limestone-rich soil, where cool mountain nights meet warm Mexican winds sweeping across the border. The extended maturation at altitude produces a dense, high-grown Bourbon with clarity and structure.
In the cup: dark cocoa, caramelized brown sugar, and a rich, silky mouthfeel.
